Kathlyn's first Day to School

Kathlyn's First Day to go to School

Kathlyn has been asking me if she can go to school like Kuya Gj. I always tell her that she will be going to school in her time. I told her when she turned 3 years old she will going to school like kuya Gj, but not at the same school with Kuya. Normally she would response by saying " ahhhhh" with her droopy shoulder kind of thing. Last night, I told her that she will start going to school tomorrow. she said happily, " really? I go to school? " I said, " yes, so go to bed now and wake early tomorrow morning". She did.
Anyway pictures will tell what happens the rest of her day today.
 She's so ready for school!

We celebrate her first day school with lots of chicken nuggets and fries
Then later in the afternoon, the played bike with Madisen in the walker.
My precious children..thanks a lot God for the blessings!

Used bike

No more fight over a bike... KC normally wins. Today, I found a used bike at the garage sale for $10 (expensive) plus I bought the training weels for $10 = $ 20 for the red bike. The blue bike I paid $ 4 over a year ago sa garage sale din and still working. But $20 is worth it 'cause it eliminates my kids from screaming and fighting over a bike at 7:20 in the morning... I know neighbors hates us!

Missing tooth

At 7:00 this morning I notice Gerald Jay missing another tooth again. I didn't know where his tooth is at, if he swallow it or he pulled by himself... it was a mystery.

Barium Swallow Test

Gerald Jay had another barium swallow test today. His GI doctor requested a new barium swallow test to see where he is at on the the swallowing (disphagia - difficulty of swallowing) issues.
Gerald aspirates when he drink the un-thickened fluid. We normally give him fluid that is honey thick consistency, and he does better on that. I think we did it for a long period of time. It was two years since his last test. Today, I was happy to know that he is slowly improving in terms of swallowing. He is now down to nectar thick which is less consistency than before. I am crossing my fingers that he will continue to improve on his feeding issues.

Also, he has been trying new foods. He actually ate peanut butter sandwich and noodle. I mean literally swollowing the bread and noodle. We have not received any feeding service since February of 2009. I was hard, because I don't know how to teach him to eat. He come a long way, and I hope he will continue to eat orally.

Screaming boy :-(

Couple weeks ago I noticed that Gerald Jay expresses his disapproval for anything with a loud short scream. I am trying to figure out why he does that. Over all he is doing well.

GI Appointment

Gerald had a great GI visit today. The doctor told me that he is very pleased about Gerald's progress in terms of GI problem. He order a new barium swallow test just to check if he needed to lessen the consistency of his thickener. Also, he changed his formula from 1.0 calorie to 1.5 calorie and four cans a day instead of 6 can a day of 1.0 calorie/ml. Hurry for changing the milk because I really want to get Gerald down to 3 feedings everyday.

I took couple of great pictures of Dr. Ufberg and Gerald but I can't post it here. Ahhh... too bad because it was a great photo.

Anyway, I would like to thank his GI doctor he has been very good to my son and always address our concerns one knot ahead of us. I would recommend him to anyone!

Madisen is crawling now

My little daughter Madisen put  distance today. She is now finally crawling! Scarrry! She hit it before she turned 8 months old. Earlier this month she was just on her tummy, but she progresses a lot from being on her tummy to all fours and from all fours to sitting and crawling. I am very happy that she catch up fast. I am so very proud of my little one! I love you Baby Madi!
