All switched to day feeding

We been working on Gerald's  feeding schedule for the past 3 weeks now. I am proud to say that we are successfully switched him from a night drip to day feeding now.  He needs 1200cc calories per day of pediasure, but we add 500 cc of water to make up the difference to upto 1700cc per day. He gets so dry during the summer if he doesn't get enough fluids. Anyways, we have no throwing -up episode at all on his day feedings and no problem at all. He is now in the normal feeding schedule like the rest of us. It nice to switched because we do not have to wake up early in the morning to turn-off the beeping feeding pump or to clean up the floor because of the feeding bag broke, none of that now. His last feeding is at 8pm and that's it! This way we can completely potty train him during the night.

We still have working on the oral feeding though. We have come to the point that he can taste every food that we ate now. I just need to teach him how to chew and swallow solid food. At this time a feeding therapist comes in handy if we have one. I hope the services that he is on provide an hour feeding session per week, but they don't! I even offered to the his case manager that I would give up two of his services in replace for a feeding therapist because that is what he really need at this time. Still, they won't do that! What a big frustration!

First Movie: Kung Fu Panda 2

Kung Fu Panda 2 was an awesome movie!

As I mention in my previous post... today was our first time to watch a movie in the theater after five years. It wouldn't be happening without the HopeKids of Phoenix.  So I would like thank Hope for their program and generosity.

Anyways, when we got to the theater door 7 ( I just writing the door number just for the record for my kids to remember someday) it was showing the sneak peek for Happy Feet 2. Of course my kids were excited since they have been watching the first movie of Happy Feet so they already know it. Okay, so they were so calm. When the movie started Gerald was really interested and sat for about fifteen minutes. While my daughter was fascinated about the colorful and big screen :D. Anyway, a little while later GJ started saying, "pooppyyyy" so I took him to the restroom. That is his one way of saying I wanna go out or do something else. But he did use the toilet though. On the way back to the movie room, I got them a kids combo snacks. Some of the popcorn dropped on the floor and GJ started picking them us. I told him that it was dirty already, but he still want those popcorn and when he waved his hands upward something happened to his left eye and he scratched it ( until now it still painful). Probably salt or something got into his eye.

So , we went back in the movie room and he was doing alright. Kathlyn (2 years old) on the other hand was enjoying the movie (thumbs up for her). While GJ started being fussy again, so I took him to the lobby and we stayed there for 40 minutes and I got to chat with other hope moms. Gerald was happy running back in forth in the hallway.

Anyway, I saw part of it, but I can tell you that this movie was a good one! I should let Gj watch the first movie and introduce him  to panda before we watch it. Well, that was a good start though. Cars 2 he might do well on that because he already watched the first DVD gazillion times. If it wasn't to our Nurse Gigi who gave him that movie I wouldn't know that there is a movie like that :-). Thanks to Nurse Gigi for that!

Thanks a lot to HopeKids again for another great adventure! More power!

Harkins Theater in Arizona Mills, Tempe

Cinema: For the first time in Five YEARS

Today, we are going to watch a movie in the theater courtesy by Hopekids. Gushhh it has been awhile since my husband and I watched a movie together. I told him yesterday that we missed a lot of movies and we don't even know where the entrance and exit of the theater hahahaha. Anyway, my heart boy is five years old now and he likes to watch some movies on DVDs, so today we are taking both of my kids to a movie theater. I just don't know how my boy will react since this is gonna be his first time to be in the movie theater. I know my daughter will do well, since she is a trill seeker! We are going to watch Kung Fu Panda 2.

Thanks to HopeKids for the great opportunity to take my kids to the movie.

Wedding Anniversary

Today we are celebrating our seventh wedding anniversary... Happy Anniversary to my beloved husband!

Last day of being 4 years old

Time flies when you are having fun as what they say. Yup! It is true. My little boy will be turning 5 pretty soon!  Soon as in half an hour. Anyway here is a glimpse of his day today.

I hope he wont be a nudest anymore. And I am hoping that he can put his pants right when he turn five and wont be lazy put his brief on.

Anyway, I order a Thomas and Friends cake for him since he likes Thomas the tank engine. I also ordered pizza. We will only have a small pizza party for him and I know he will be happy to see his cake. I can't wait to see his reactions tomorrow!
Advance happy birthday to my little prince!

HopeKids event: Jumpstreet

We had a great time at the Jumpstreet indoor trampoline park courtesy by Hopekids. When I signed for this event I didn't even know if my kids will love it since Gerald Jay is a little bit cautious on everything and I thought that he would not enjoy it. But I said, I would like to try.
Well, here it is...they are having a lot of fun jumping! At first GJ will not stand on the trampoline but when he figured out that it was fun to bounce ... he never stop bouncing for almost two hours. When we got home they were so tired that they fell asleep quickly.
Again, I would like to thank the HOPEKIDS program for the great opportunity to try new adventure for my kids that I would never ever think that we would do for our selves. Thank you very much Hopekids!
